D.P.S Durg celebrated the 77th Republic Day in the school on 26th January ,2026 with great pride and patriotic spirit. Shri Bhupendra Kuldeep, the Registrar of Hemchand Yadav University was the Chief Guest to grace the occasion.
The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest and the Director followed by the National Anthem.
The school choir sang the soulful “Vande Mataram”. A brief speech on the history and significance of Republic Day was delivered followed by a conversation on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution which helped the students understand its core values. This was followed by a melodious group song by the school choir.
Students then delivered a thoughtful speech on the “Heroes of the Indian Constitution paying tribute to the nation’s great leaders”. A radio show titled “India: Yesterday, Present and Future” added an interactive element to the celebration.
The programme also included a Hindi Patriotic Poem and a touching Dance Drama, "Chitti" – A simple letter from home that becomes a source of strength for a soldier guarding our borders.
The ceremony continued with the prize distribution to the academic achievers followed by the presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest in his speech emphasised the spirit of sacrifice for the country and further mentioned that we need courage, awareness, and action to keep our country’s head held high.
The programme concluded with the Director’s address, appreciating the efforts of students especially their parents. She further emphasised on one’s duty before one’s right.
