Residential Life

Boarding at DPS Durg serves as a second home for our boarding students. Under the constant care of our dedicated House Masters and Mistresses, students receive round-the-clock guidance. The facility, spread over two floors, offers distinct accommodation for girls and boys, with space for 70 boys and 60 girls in comfortably furnished, air-conditioned dormitories. Each dorm is equipped with study desks and adequate lighting. Beyond academics, our boarders learn independence and organizational skills, enhancing their educational journey. We strive to provide a nurturing environment that mirrors the warmth and caring nature of a family, fostering their development into outstanding citizens.

At DPS Durg, we foster an academic environment that encourages intellectual growth in a supportive and positive setting. Supervised study sessions are held regularly in the evenings, where educators offer additional support to boarders, addressing their academic concerns and aiding in exam preparations.

We promote active participation in a variety of activities, creating an environment that appreciates effort. Our diverse array of activities and hobbies is tailored to suit different ages and maturity levels, contributing to the personal, social and cultural growth of each student.

Our hostel’s recreational offerings include full access to the school’s facilities, such as the television room. Evening sports and games such as football, volleyball, table tennis, swimming and chess are professionally supervised by our athletic coaches. Boarders also have the opportunity to showcase their talents in various arts like mono acting, singing, and dancing. Additionally, students enjoy outings with their local guardians on designated weekends.
