Nineteenth Open Day Celebrations of DPS DURG, Primary Wing – A Report

The Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Durg celebrated its 19th Open Day Celebrations on Tuesday 6th February 2024 with great dynamism and gusto.

Gracing the event was The Guest of Honour Shri Amit Ghosh Asstt. Director DEO Office, Durg., Press, parents, teachers and students.

The programme commenced with the warm welcome of the dignitaries with bouquets followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Next the Principal Mr. Yashpal Sharma, welcomed and introduced the honourable Chief Guest to the gathering.

The programme was an amalgamation of various hues benefiting the theme ‘Abhivyakti – The Expression ’. Giving the event an auspicious beginning, the young children performed a graceful Ganesh Stuti as an invocation of the divine power.

Then began the most awaited cultural programme -Action Dance – Big Wave, Hindi poem – Abhivyakti , Hindi Tableau – Aagaz Meri Anubhootiyon ka- Abhivyakti , Fusion Dance- Unity In Diversity, Melodious Symphony and Western Dance – Rhythm Rumble bringing in the mood of celebration and festivity.

Meritorious students, were given prizes for excellence in Academics by the Chief Guest.
The Guest of Honour Shri Amit Ghosh praised the programme. He said that childhood is the golden chapter of life. Being with children increases our spirits and life. He emphasized on how parents and teachers play a pivotal role in developing the children’s inbuilt talents. The children should lead a stress free life.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms U Sapna Choudhary, Academic Coordinator and the programme culminated with the National Anthem. The event was efficiently coordinated by Academic Coordinators Mrs. U. Sapna Choudhury and Mrs Navneet Rekhi.
The cultural extravaganza was ably compered by the students – B.Gitisha, Utsav Jain,Kanishk Mishra, Reyansh Singh, Khanak Jain, Ishaan Sharma, Shashank Pandey , Zayaan Khan, Sadika Salhotra, and Aryan Gupta.
