Eighteenth Open Day Celebrations of DPS DURG

Primary Wing – Press Report

The Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Durg celebrated its 18th Open Day Celebrations on Saturday 4th February 2023 with great vigour and zest. Gracing the event was the Guest of Honour Mr. H.S. Batra Member of Managing Committee.

The other dignitaries present were Ms. Sarit Kaur Batra, Principal Shri Yashpal Sharma, Mrs. Jyotika Sharma, Press, parents, teachers and students.

The programme commenced with the warm welcome of the dignitaries with saplings followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Next the Principal welcomed and introduced the honourable Chief Guest to the gathering.

‘Celebrating Childhood’ was the theme of the school’s Open Day this year carrying forward the glorious tradition of the school’s spectacular cultural functions.Giving the event an auspicious beginning, the young children performed a graceful Ganesh Stuti as an invocation of the divine power.

Then began the most awaited cultural programme - Action Dance – Give a little kindness, Puppet Dance – Jeevan ke rang kathputli ke sang, Hindi Tableau – Indradhanush , Saat Rang Khushiyon Ke, Carnival – The Fun Fiesta, Mime – Side effects of mobile phone, English skit - Three Little Fairies , Peacock Dance- Aashayein , Hindi Poem – “ Koshish karne walo ki haar nahi hoti”, Orchestra- Melodious Symphony and International folk dance – Dazzling Dancers bringing in the mood of celebration and festivity.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. U Sapna Choudhary and the programme culminated with the National Anthem. The event was efficiently coordinated by Academic Coordinators Mrs. U. Sapna Choudhury and Mrs Navneet Rekhi. The cultural extravaganza was ably compared by – Aradhya Singh, SimranTomar, Sadika Salhotra, Nihal Suryavanshi, LavrajVashishth, Sarthak Jain, Utsav Jain and Aanya Gupta.
